Marrakech, Fès and Essaouira are for many perfumers what Florence was for Renaissance painters — source cities where inspiration is found at every souk corner, in every bouquet of Damascus roses, every armful of cumin and turmeric, every cloud of incense rising in the half-light of medinas.
